College Football Playoff odds: Who’s favored to win national title?

College Football Playoff season is nearly upon us, with the first round of rankings coming out Tuesday after this weekend’s games.

The CFP rankings lay the foundation for the season-ending tournament that crowns the best team in college football. And this season sees a new format, with the playoff bracket expanding from four to 12 teams. The final rankings and 12 playoff teams will be revealed on Dec. 8.

Highly-ranked unbeaten teams like Oregon and Miami will be somewhere in the CFP’s top 12, as will perennial powerhouses like Georgia, Ohio State, and Texas.
