Luka Dončić update: Will Lakers guard play against Mavericks?

This story was updated to correct a typo.Los Angeles Lakers guard Luka Dončić will see familiar faces on the opposing bench this evening.

Dončić is expected to play against the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday at Crypto.com Arena.

It will be his fifth game in a Lakers uniform with this game carrying an extra level of significance.

The basketball world was rattled when Dallas traded Dončić to Los Angeles in exchange for Anthony Davis on Feb. 2. It will be the first time the two teams have played against each other since the trade.

Will Luka Dončić play against the Dallas Mavericks?

Dončić was not listed on the Lakers’ status report on Monday evening and should be available.

He was listed on the status report with left calf injury management on Friday ahead of the Lakers’ big game against the Nuggets in Denver Saturday.

He managed to have a huge impact on the Lakers’ 123-100 victory over the Nuggets.

How did Luka Dončić play in his last game?

Dončić is coming off his best performance during his short tenure with the Lakers. He produced 32 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists against Denver.

He also had four steals and a block while shooting 8-for-8 from the free-throw line.
