Lakers fans thank Mavericks GM after Luka Doncic’s triple double

Doncic led the Lakers to a 107-99 win over the Mavericks with 19 points (6-of-17 FG, 1-of-7 3PT), 15 rebounds and 12 assists, in addition to three steals and two blocks. The performance marked the 81st triple-double of Doncic’s career and his first in purple and gold as a member of the Lakers.

Harrison was on hand to watch the matchup at Crypto.com Arena.

It was Harrison who brokered a deal with Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka to send Doncic, Maxi Kleber and Markieff Morris to the Lakers in exchange for Anthony Davis, Max Christie and a 2029 first-round pick on Feb. 2 ahead of the trade deadline. The trade came as a surprise to Doncic, Davis and just about every basketball fan in the world.

Although Mavericks fans are still coming to terms with their one-time future franchise player being traded, Lakers fans appear to be more than happy with the end result. They showed just how grateful they were on Tuesday at Crypto.com Arena by chanting, ‘THANK YOU NICO!”
