Ice Cube kicks off Dodgers World Series celebration

Just like how he did before Game 2 of the World Series, Los Angeles icon Ice Cube started the party inside Dodger Stadium with some of his most popular songs.

He played ‘Bow Down’ and ‘It Was a Good Day,’ the same short setlist as he did Saturday, and the crowd sang along with the legendary West Coast rapper. Then Dodgers manager Dave Roberts joined him on stage to rap and dance alongside Ice Cube before introducing the championship team.

Ice Cube changed several lyrics to be Dodgers-centric, and he changed one lyric in ‘It Was a Good Day’ to ‘freaking Yankees every way like Kobe,’ to honor Lakers legend Kobe Bryant.

Dodgers utilityman Kiké Hernández took the microphone afterward and he said after Ice Cube performed prior to Game 2, they didn’t even need to play.

‘We didn’t even play the game. We had already won it,’ Hernández said.

Then he made a diss about Fat Joe’s performance before Game 3 by saying the same thing. After it happened, they didn’t need to play because ‘we had already won it.’
