Tyson slaps Paul at weigh-in ahead of Friday’s fight: ‘It’s personal now’

The highly-anticipated fight between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul is only one day away, but fans got a taste of what’s to come on Thursday after the weigh-in between the two fighters came to blows.

Paul and Tyson both weighed in Thursday at the Toyota Music Factory in Irving, Texas, during an event that was broadcast live. Paul weighed in at 227 pounds and Tyson weighed 228.4 pounds. After Tyson stepped off the scale, he approached Paul for a final face-off. That’s when chaos ensued.

Paul crawled toward Tyson, which appeared to upset Tyson. Tyson slapped Paul in the face and was immediately separated from Paul by security personnel. Paul didn’t appear fazed by the slap as he blew kisses at Tyson, laughed and clapped.

‘I didn’t even feel it,’ Paul said. ‘He’s angry. He’s an angry little elf. Mike Tyson, I thought that was a cute slap.’

Tyson said ‘talking is over,’ but Paul added that ‘it’s personal now.’

Tyson vs. Paul is streaming exclusively on Netflix Friday. The main card for the event will start at 8 p.m. ET.
