Fans react to Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul fight on social media

The Mike Tyson-Jake Paul event lived up to the billing when it came to chaos and drama.

The Netflix broadcast featured everything from miscommunication, buffering issues, a flash of Tyson’s butt and more.

The theatrics did stop with Paul making his way down to the ring with his brother Logan in a green convertible as Phil Collins’ ‘In the Air’ played around AT&T Stadium. The song was used in the movie ‘The Hangover,’ which Tyson made an appearance in.

Tyson took a less than dramatic approach to his entrance, simply walking down to the ring with Murder Inc.’s Murdergram playing.

Who won the Tyson-Paul fight?

Mike Tyson looked strong through the first two rounds before Jake Paul managed to get the better of the legend in the unanimous victory after eight rounds.

Fans at AT&T Stadium were booing the final seconds of the eighth round. As time expired, Paul and Tyson embraced in the middle of the ring as a sign of respect for one another.

Tyson confirmed to Ariel Helwani after the fight that he was dealing with an injury but didn’t want to use that as an excuse. Tyson also mentioned that he wouldn’t rule out another return to the ring for another fight and exchanged words briefly with Logan Paul.

Fans upset with Netflix streaming experience

Much like the fight, the Netflix live-streaming experience did not live up to expectations.

Viewers are just as frustrated with the buffering issues that were experienced as early as the main card’s first fight of the night. The issues may have also raised eyebrows for consumers of pro wrestling who will experience Netflix streaming experience every week with WWE’s new deal to air Monday Night Raw on the platform.
